mayumi
/mah-yoo-mee/
a soft presence in a loud world.
a quiet confidence that doesn’t need to prove anything.
to be mayumi is to move with grace,
to speak with kindness,
and to exist without losing yourself.
it’s not something you show —
it’s something people feel.
mayumi is a feeling.
you are mayumi.
before mayumi had a name.
in pursuit of becoming who i’m meant to be
i followed curiosity.
it led me to press “go live,”
not knowing what would come from it.
just me,
a guitar i barely knew how to play,
and instrumentals in the background.
I sang anyway.
fear slowly turned into curiosity,
and curiosity into something more —
a journey where i met people,
who felt like home.
it wasn’t always easy,
but i kept showing up.
and somewhere in that,
something formed.
quiet growth.
and a lot of care.
— mayumi.
— a feeling shaped by the people who stayed.
maybe that’s why you’re here.
maybe you felt it too.
you are mayumi.
